Think about the last time you were bored.
No phone.
No Instagram.
No YouTube.
No music.
Just… nothing.
For many of us, that's almost impossible now.
The moment we have nothing to do, we reach for our phones.
Waiting for food? Scroll.
Waiting for someone? Scroll.
Travelling? Watch something.
Can't sleep? Open Instagram.
We've become so uncomfortable with boredom that we immediately try to escape it.
But boredom isn't always a bad thing.
Some of our best ideas come when there is nothing competing for our attention.
A walk without headphones.
Sitting quietly.
Looking out of a window.
Doing absolutely nothing.
Your brain needs empty space too.
We constantly consume information, but rarely give ourselves time to process it.
Maybe we don't need another video, another notification or another piece of content.
Maybe sometimes we just need to be bored.
Because when there is nothing to consume,
your mind finally gets a chance to create.
